The Future of Sound Healing – These Opportunities Await You!
Why does a melancholic song move you to tears while a baby’s giggles instantly make you smile? Or why do sea waves washing ashore rejuvenate your mind yet fingernails scraping against metal feels so agonizing?
Sound kindles memories, transports you back in time, and evokes old emotions.
And sound can heal you too – just as it healed our ancestors centuries ago.
“Shamans used chanting and drumming to heal people, while ancient mystery schools in Greece, Egypt, and India developed sound into a sacred science. The ancient Greeks used the flute and the lyre to heal the body and soul and to treat illnesses such as gout and sciatica. Pythagoras is known to have used specific songs and incantations to cure diseases of the body and mind. There are even theories suggesting that the great Pyramids were constructed using sound.”

Everything in this universe is made up of frequency, energy, and vibration. And so is sound. The unseen vibrations from certain sounds possess a healing quality that can restore health and harmony to your body. Since these vibrations move through energy chakras in our body, they work their magic even in people with hearing disabilities.
Think of it like a glass of water that’s filled to the rim. Now, wherever you hit on the glass’s exterior, you can see vibrations all around as water is an effective conductor of sound. Because our bodies are made up of 70% water, the healing frequencies from sound transpire through every cell and free it from accumulated toxic energies.
"It has been found that musical vibrations make their impact upon the entire body, being picked up by the nerves, spinal column, and even by the bones. This is why people who are deaf can react to music. It has also been demonstrated that music affects the pulse, respiration, and blood pressure; but its deepest effects, and those from which most of its curative properties are derived, are mental and emotional"
— Doren Antrim (Music Is Medicine)
Sound healing offers a non-invasive and drug-free alternative to alleviate physical and mental illnesses. The special principles of sound – resonance, entrainment, frequency, and vibration work in synergy to attune your body.
In these unpredictable times with constant stress, disharmony, and comparison crisis from social media, people are looking for alternate solutions after traditional medicine has failed them. And sound healing offers just that!
Instruments such as singing bowls, tuning forks, singing pyramids, and chimes are powerful carriers of sound’s healing abilities. And each instrument comes with its own set of unique powers. For example, Crystal singing bowls are composed of pure quartz (99.8% silica quartz) in a process that heats up the crystals to 4000 degrees to remove all impurities. This process gives the bowls a unique sound that interacts with our bodies’ natural affinity to quartz. As our cells also contain silica, this molecular-level interaction with the vibrational sound heals the mind, body, and spirit.
“The Medicine Man occupied the honored role of priest and physician to his tribe. They understood that healing was done by the intercession of celestial spirits. Music was used as the bridge between these planes. Thus we see why music was religious in nature, and music was looked upon as a sacred art”
- Corinne Heline
The size and type of metals found in the bowl affect how their sound and resonance. When these singing bowls are struck with a mallet around the rim, the sound frequencies from these musical instruments remedy a wide range of physical and mental ailments.
The sounds have the power to:
- Aid in disorders such as Autism, ADHD, depression, anxiety
- Lower blood pressure, improve blood circulation and relieve respiratory disorders
- Reduction in headaches, migraines, and better sleep
- Provide muscle and joint pain relief
- Remove toxins from your body and boost immunity
- Neutralize your pain and trauma
- Clear mind chatter and improve focus
- Align you to your inner vision
- Rebuild wounded tissue
- Clear emotional blockages
- Enhance your energy, strength, and relationships
Do you feel drawn to healing instruments? Do you feel a bit fascinated by their sounds and effects? Have your friends, family, or others told you that you have a healer's presence but maybe you're not sure if this is your calling? If any of the statements below sound like you, there's a good chance you've been gifted this higher purpose
- You are naturally drawn towards spirituality and serving humanity. You wish to uplift the collective human consciousness through your empathy and knowledge
- You have survived incredible ordeals in your life that made you dig deeper into your purpose on Earth
- You are an introvert and/or empath and feel like you don’t always belong in the conventional world. You like to stay in your emotional shell where you can work on your great vision for life
- You frequently experience a tingly sensation in your palms and hand. This throbbing and buzzing feeling is a sign of the healing energy you possess
- You are suffering from conventionally difficult-to-treat diagnoses that compel you to look beyond traditional medicine for answers. Ailments such as fibromyalgia, auto-immune disorders, chronic fatigue syndrome, IBS, Chronic Lyme disease, etc. could be a few of them.
I know what this feels like: Back in 2009, when I was struggling with the painful physical and mental effects of my Chronic Lyme Disease, it was the failure of traditional medicine that led me to discover Sound healing.
If I had stuck to what the doctors prescribed, I’d still be bedbound for 16-18 hours a day. But my struggles led me to discover my purpose of holistic healing. And with every passing day, as I healed myself with the sound energy abounding in nature, my resolve to share this knowledge with the world got stronger. And that's why it was so important for me to put together my sound healer certification programs.
So if you’re dealing with a similar ailment, maybe the purpose of your journey is to lead you to this calling!

Future Demand For Sound Healing
If you’re already a certified sound healer, your gift will also serve you well. Sound healing is growing at a rapid state in the United States and around the world. In fact, according to Skyquesst’s report, the global sound therapy business is expected to reach $4.42 billion by 2028. What this means for you is that there’s plenty of opportunity and room for you to create a thriving sound healing business.
And if you feel you aren’t too experienced, you’ll be surprised to know that over half of sound healing businesses are less than 5 years old. Many do this as a full-time business using the typical offerings below.
Private Sound Healing sessions
Sometimes, your clients would need personalized attention and care. The option of a 1:1 private session allows you to cater to the individual needs of your clients. You help soothe their mind, body, and spirit and offer guidance on how they can balance their chakras.
Group Sound Healing Baths
In a group session also known as sound baths, your clients will immerse themselves in the vibrations from sound healing instruments. Chimes, gongs, ASMR, singing bowls, tuning forks, singing pyramids, and rhythmic drum circles are some popular instruments. Your job as a sound bath practitioner is to facilitate the therapeutic session and collectively clear out energy blockages. This hour long sound-bath video with crystal singing bowls and chimes shows it looks like.
And if you want to reach a wider audience and yield your healing powers across the globe, deliver your session online via Platforms like Zoom.
Besides these options, get creative and find new ways to reach more people. You don't need to be limited by only holding individual or group sessions. Dream big! You could even do retreats all over the world. One of our students quit her job as a school counselor in order to open her business and has now also opened a wellness center to share her gifts. Whatever your vision, it's possible.
For guidance on how to expand your sound healing business, I also offer “The Business of Sound Healing” course. Besides teaching you the nuances of running a successful sound healing business, it will enlighten you on how to scale your holistic healing practice. This includes setting up your business, pricing, marketing, getting featured in media, and how to scale an existing business.
Figuring out on your own is always an option. But following the guided steps of someone who has been there and done that will save you so much stress, time, and energy.
Wishing you much luck, love, and light on your journey forward
