Celebrate World Sound Healing Day
World Sound Healing Day (February 14, 2023) was created by Jonathan Goldman and his wife Andi Goldman.
According to The World Sound Healing Day website, “The purpose of World Sound Healing Day is to: 1). Heal Our Planet 2). Heal Our Waters 3). Raise Our Consciousness.”
This day has been set aside and honored so that we can also spread the love and knowledge of the power of sound for healing, growth and transformation. It's about celebrating the unique gift and healing that music brings to our lives.
If you’re new to the idea of sound healing, it’s generally defined as the use of therapeutic tones to bring harmony to the body, mind and spirit. Many have turned to sound and frequency therapy to help ease their body of physical and emotional pain. It has even been used to help release past traumas.
In a world that has become so noisy, it's easy to forget that sound is one of the most powerful tools we have for healing. When we listen deeply to someone else, we can actually help them heal from trauma or stress. When we make music together, it creates bonds between us and brings up feelings of joy and love. And when we chant or sing together in groups, it creates a sense of connection with other people who share our passion for healing and peace.

Today, many people believe that 528 Hz is the most beneficial sound for healing. It’s also known as the love tone or the miracle tone since it’s used to manifest miracles.
528 Hz is one of the original ancient solfeggio frequencies, which means that it harmonizes with the original creative frequencies used in Ancient Gregorian Chants such as those during the Roman Catholic Mass. Priests would use these tones and changes to bestow blessing on their congregation.
528 Hz is also known as The Frequency for Transformation. It is said to help bring about positive change on all levels including physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. Many believe that it has the ability to repair DNA.
Popular Tools for Sound Healing
Crystal singing bowls are generally made of quartz crystal, which is one of the most resonant materials in the world. They produce a sound that's so pure it can be used to balance and clear the chakras, or energy centers of the body.

The sound generated when the bowl is struck can help with relaxation and meditation, as well as aiding in chakra balancing and other forms of energy healing.
The vibrations created by the crystal singing bowl can reach deep into your body and soul, helping you to connect with the universe around you.
Tuning forks create a sound wave that is transmitted into the body. The vibrations are felt by the body as pressure waves and can stimulate certain organs and tissues. The body's response to this stimulation is referred to as resonance. Resonance occurs when the frequency of the vibration matches the natural frequency of an organ or tissue (known as the "resonant frequency"). This causes the organ or tissue to vibrate at its own resonant frequency, resulting in better function.
Drumming is one of the most ancient of all musical instruments and has been used for centuries as part of spiritual rituals. It is a very powerful tool that can be used for healing, prayer and meditation. Drumming can also help us to connect with our inner spirit and our creative self.
Drumming is an ancient way to heal that can be traced back to prehistoric times when people would drum to chase away evil spirits and cure illness. During the 14th century in Africa, drums were also used to treat mental illness.
In traditional tribal cultures around the world, drums have been used for healing purposes because they are believed to contain natural energies that can be harnessed for healing by certain people who have special powers called shamans or medicine men.
Drumming was also used as a way for people in different tribes around the world to communicate with each other over long distances without any form of written language by using a system called drum language. This system allowed them to send messages from one side of the forest or jungle where no roads existed all the way across vast territories where no other form of communication could reach them except through these drumming sounds.
